Allergen Information for baking The following allergens may be used in some of the recipes: Celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, soya, sulphur dioxide. If you have any questions regarding which allergens we use in particular recipes or workshop please ask us. We cannot guarantee our recipes are nut free.

Medical information Any medical conditions (including allergies) that any participant may have must be fully disclosed at the time of booking (in writing) and to the session leader when you arrive at the venue.

Fees Payment for all sessions must be paid in full for your place to be secured. Once booked places are non-refundable (but you may transfer your space to another child of the appropriate age.)

We offer an online booking service. When the booking form has been completed and submitted and payment received in full, you will be sent confirmation of your booking via the email address you have provided.

Your Conduct You must comply with all rules issued by the leader of the session and agree to comply with all health and safety rules & procedures in place at the venue where our session is delivered.

If we consider that you or your child(ren) have behaved in an unacceptable manner, we will ask you to leave the session. No refund of fees will be made.

It is your responsibility to ensure appropriate clothing is worn by adult and child.

You shall not bring your child to a session if they are ill, and do not attend if you or a member of your household has COVID symptoms or has been in recent close contact with someone with COVID.

For Bake-alongs, the child attending our session will be accompanied by you (or another adult booked in by you) and will be under the direction, care and control of you at all times, and you are solely responsible for his or her welfare and conduct during our sessions. For Book Club and Writing Workshops, the leader will assume responsibility for all the children. However, if the children do not behave appropriately they will not be able to attend any further sessions, and a refund WILL NOT be issued.

Liability We make every effort to ensure our sessions are as safe and enjoyable as possible, however, please be aware that baking may on occasion involve the use of potentially dangerous kitchen utensils and equipment including but not limited to knives, graters, peelers, hobs, ovens.

We cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage that might occur during our sessions. We will not be liable for any loss suffered by you which is indirect, special or consequential. We will not be liable for any loss suffered by you resulting from any event which is beyond our reasonable control.

Please do not bring any items of special value to our sessions. We will not accept responsibility for the loss of any personal possessions.

We have Public Liability insurance with cover provided by Simply Business.

Photography We may take photographs during our sessions.  The use of this data is solely for the purpose of promoting and publicising Purple Flamingo activities through our website and social media. Parents/guardians that do not wish for their child to be photographed must make us aware of this (in writing) when booking.

Session Changes We will be entitled to change the timing and/or content of any course and to change the session leader at any time. In the event that we have to cancel a session(s) for any reason, an alternative session at another time will be arranged and confirmed to all. If you are unable to attend at the alternatively arranged time, you will be issued with a credit note to the full value of the booking fee paid.

Your Data We will not share your data with third parties. We may use your email to inform you of any changes to a session or to inform you of future sessions.
